Are you a non-smoker? Do you detest smoking or smokers? Are you proud that you do not support large tobacco corporations such as Philip Morris? I was all of the aforementioned things until some late night yahoo finance surfing. You see, Philip Morris, largest tobacco company in the North America (Marlboro, Virginia Slims, Benson & Hedges, Parliament, etc.) also owns two other rather large companies: Kraft Foods and Miller Brewing Company. If you don't believe me, check this out: Yahoo Finance. Have you checked up on my research? Now that we are on the same page, we can begin to fully understand the meaning of our new knowledge. If Philip Morris owns Kraft and Miller, are we supporting Philip Morris by purchasing products from Kraft and Miller? If so, then there are a lot of products on my boycott list. Well friends, help me out here... send me a quick note to let me know what you think about my predicament. Its not the Miller that's getting me down so much as all of the sub companies within Kraft. Check out that list above under the Kraft link.

What does that say up at the top? 2k3??? That's right. It is now the New Year and as such, any references to 2k2 would be outdated. As a result, in attempts maintain my hip, current image I have renamed the title of this blog. I hope everyone enjoys.

Rich has bounced to the land of Floridiastan. Hopefully he is having fun with that. I watched over his woman tonight and made sure that she didn't kiss any boys for New Year’s. I also ruled her world in Foosball. Shortly thereafter, she and I showed the Anish-Chris team how to play a mean game of pool... kinda.

Wow, it has to be late... all the 1-900 number ads are on TV. I should probably play some Suikoden (pronounced: soo-weee-ko-den) then hit the pac-man sheets. Stay tuned for the best bloggery this side of blogtona.

Driving in the snow is to me very much like flying at warp speed through space. With the snow coming down and the rate of speed that my ship, Dodgemus Datonimum, can reach... well it's a very awe-inspiring experience.

In other news, today is Christmas Eve. Working this past week at the mall has been less than amazing due to the holiday-type customers. You get questions/statements like these:

  • Do you have an Xbox connector for Playstation 2?
  • I'll take a Mario Party 4 for Xbox.

On top of that, there are the customers who think that they know more than you and as a result, they will correct you.
"Sorry ma'am, Grand Theft Auto wasn't made for the Xbox."
"Yes, it was."
"As far as I know, Sony bought all console rights on the game for the next five years."
"No, I saw it in a magazine."
"Well, we're sold out then."

Enough complaining about my job. My dad will hopefully be getting out of the hospital tomorrow. I know I didn't post saying that he was in the hospital in the first place but I didn't want people to feel sorry for me... especially in light of what Stacey is going through with her father. Suffice to say, my pops is almost to the point in which the doctors feel comfortable letting him head home. The plan is to grab him early Christmas morning. We'll see how that works out.

On the topic of Christmas... Christmas is about one thing: Spending money. Oh, shit, and Jesus. It's about Jesus too, but for the sake of this blog, we will focus on the presents and spending aspects of the holiday season. Rich spent ass loads of money on my three gifts. From him, I received a copy of Splinter Cell for the Xbox, a copy of Zelda: A Link to the Past for GBA and three packs of animal crossing cards. Have I mentioned that he spent too much? Thought so. Either way, he will get his.... Mom is home and she needs help wrapping presents for the extended family so I'll go get on that after a bit of spinter celling. Later homies.

If there is one thing that the fairer sex has the ability to inflict, it would be that warm, fuzzy, tingling sensation that makes you just want to lie down and listen to music. I don't want to go into detail but I am still without a journal/diary of sorts so this is one of my few means of venting. I try to write songs but as I am rather critical of my musical skills (or severe lack thereof) it's usually not entirely effective in getting my thoughts out of my head. The best methods I have for this are writing/typing and lying down w/ music.

In other, less trite news, Captain Chai wants me to write his admissions paper for U of M's business school. 20 bills! Represent. I'm going to make this a profitable business by Junior year, watch out. Well, I still have s-loads of work to get done before today comes to a close so I'm going to cut this short. Stay tuned for more nonsense as it unfolds...

As much as I really like having a blog, I'm more and more realizing that I need something else. This is not to say that I will discontinue the blog, rather that I will need to add something else. I need a means of, well, blogging without others being able to read it. What do they call that? A diary. Awesome. That's what I'll do. I have these thoughts and feelings that I need to get out and if I put them here they will probably fall into the wrong hands. In so doing, I would be ruining things. So, yeah, I don't really know why I am telling everyone that I am not able to tell them my deepest secrets. Maybe everyone was in the impression that everything here is a deep dark secret of mine and that they are special. Hmmm. I think of my blog as a primer on "all things randall/rj." If you are on AIM and get to thinking, for some stupid reason, that perhaps you don't know enough about me or that perhaps you would like to know what's going on with me, well here's a great resource.

It is here that you can find out what music I am currently listening to. You can read my random postings and glean an idea as to what types of things go through my head. So, please, beloved reader(s), take not offense by this move, just try to understand. I know this will be hard. I think you will be fine though. It's not like I'm going anywhere. I'll still be here; there will just be another "here" that can be written in. I don't think this random typing has done much to alleviate my mind so perhaps I will begin on this "diary."
